OR Logic in Transaction Filters

✨ Transaction filters now support OR logic in addition to AND conditions. You can combine multiple filter conditions with OR to match transactions that meet any of the conditions in a group, and AND to require all groups to match.

For example, you can now filter for transactions where Category = "Food" OR Category = "Dining" AND Amount > 50.

Customizable Slack Message Templates

✨ You can now fully customize how transaction messages appear in your Slack channels. Use our template editor to control the format, layout, and which fields are included in each notification.

  • Write templates using simple {{variable}} syntax
  • Conditionally show fields with {{#variable}}...{{/variable}}
  • Separate templates for transaction messages and deletion messages
  • Live preview shows exactly how your messages will look
  • Clickable variable badges for easy template editing
  • Reset to default anytime

Improved Onboarding for New Users

✨ New users will now see helpful empty states with clear calls-to-action when they first visit their Sources and Destinations pages. Tooltips on key pages explain core concepts to help you get started faster.

Historical Sync Option for Email Destinations

✨ When creating a new Email destination, you can now choose whether to sync your full transaction history or only new transactions going forward. This gives you more control over what lands in your inbox when setting up a new email sync.

Upgrade Trial Early

✨ Trial users can now upgrade to a paid plan before their trial ends. If you need more bank connections right away, you can upgrade directly from your billing settings without waiting for the trial to expire.

Improved Timezone support

🔧 Improved timezone support to allow users to set their timezone in their organization settings. Timezone settings is used when reading transaction dates, and when syncing your transaction data out to your destinations.

📱 Finicom plans are getting better! All paid plans have increased bank connection limits, with annual plans becoming cheaper.

Slack Sync Modes: Standard & Immutable

✨ Slack destinations now support two sync modes:

  • Standard Mode — When a transaction is modified or removed, Finicom updates or deletes the original Slack message, keeping your channel clean.
  • Immutable Mode — Every update posts a new message, giving you a full audit trail of all changes.

Choose your preferred mode when creating or editing a Slack destination.

Previously, only transactions created after a destination using Mercury were synced, but now your entire transaction history is available.

Notion Destination Property Mapping

Enhanced Destination Refresh Controls

February 22, 2025
✨ New manual refresh controls for destinations are now available! When you manually refresh a destination, Finicom will:

  1. Check if any new transactions have been found on your bank
  2. Attempt to resync any previously failed transaction syncs

These controls provide you with more immediate updates when needed, complementing our automatic sync process.

  • Added a refresh button to individual destinations that lets you trigger an immediate refresh
  • Added a "Refresh All" button on the destinations list page to refresh multiple destinations at once

Finicom continues to automatically sync your destinations with bank updates as soon as we detect them. These new manual refresh options provide additional control when you need immediate updates.
